Bamburet valley is a valley bordering Afghanistan on the Western side of Chitral, it takes 2 hours ride to reach Bamburet from Chitral. It is one of the three Kalash valleys where the indigenous people of Kalash live. Thought to be descendants of the army of Alexander of Macedonia, these people live and practice the old pagan religion and customs and traditions in their day to day lives. The women adorn black dress with shell decorations and unique head dress as part of their custom.
