Islamabad

Islamabad is the capital city of Pakistan. It’s the most amazing and beautiful city of Pakistan. Islamabad is the second most beautiful capital city in the world. In every year the “Gul e Daudi flower” exhibition is held in Rose and Jasmine Garden.

Hiking Trails

 

In Islamabad, there are many mountainous and adventurous hiking tracks like Trail 1, Trail 2, Trail 3, Trail 4, Trail 5 and Trail 6. Many families visit trail for hiking and there are many hiking groups in Islamabad. Trail 1 is the oldest trail of Islamabad. It is also known as Faisal Mosque Trail.

 

You can reach to Pir Sohawa through Trail 1 in less than three hours. From Pir Sohawa there is a 20 minutes’ walk to Monal restaurant. In Monal restaurant you can enjoy breakfast, brunch, and lunch with the scenic view. Trail 2 is located close to Islamabad Zoo.

 

It leads to Daman-e-Koh. If you continue walking you will reach to Cactus Ridge. Trail 3 starts from the Margalla road and Ataturk Avenue.  Both the treks are different. You can reach to Pir Sohawa through Trail 3. Trail 4 is the link trail between Trail 3 and Trail 5.

 

Trail 4 has lush green mountains. Trail 5 is the popular hiking track in Islamabad. The water stream is situated in Trail 5. You can safely park your car in the parking area near Trail 5.

 

Trail 6 starts from behind the Faisal Mosque. This trail is not very crowded. There is a parking area in every trail so you can easily park your car in the parking area.


Shah Faisal Mosque

 

Shah Faisal Mosque is the second largest mosque of Pakistan and the beautiful present to Pakistan from the Saudi King Faisal. Thousands of Muslims offered prayer in Shah Faisal Mosque. The mosque is designed by the Turkish architect Vedat Dalokay.

 

Shah Faisal Mosque is the sixth largest mosque in the world. Shah Faisal Mosque is located in the foothills of Margalla Hills. Margalla Hills is blessed with lush green mountains and breathtaking view. Hardly 15-minute drive from Islamabad and you can reach to Shah Faisal Mosque.

 

The architecture of the mosque is unique and the mixture of traditional Islamic style.


Saidpur Village

 

Saidpur village is surrounded by Margalla Hills. Saidpur Village is more than five hundred years old and it is famous for its heritage. Saidpur Village is the main attraction for tourists in Islamabad. Many restaurants, cafes and art galleries are present in Saidpur Village.

 

Restaurants serve Pakistani desi food. Saidpur village is a perfect place for family get-togethers and corporate events. A small museum in Saidpur Village where pictures and other stuff represents the heritage of Pakistan. Saidpur Village is a well-preserved and well-maintained village.

 

Many wedding photo shoots are filmed at Saidpur Village. In rain the view of Saidpur village is stunning. Mandir and old Sufi tomb are also present in Saidpur village.

 

It is an excellent place for photographers. You can reach to Saidpur village from Islamabad in 20 minutes of drive. The distance of Saidpur Village from Islamabad is 9.9 km. Saidpur village is a Pakistani historic village. 

 


Pakistan Monument

 

Pakistan monument is the attractive monument of Pakistan. Pakistan monument is designed by the famous architect Arif Masood. It is the national monument of Pakistan. Pakistan monument looks like a blossoming flower. Pakistan monument consists of seven petals.

 

The four petals represent the four provinces (Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh) and the small three petals represent three territories. In Pakistan monument, there is a museum “Pakistan monument museum (PMM)” which pays tribute to those who sacrifice their lives in Tehrik-e-Pakistan.

 

Pakistan monument museum (PMM) consists of the sculptures of Buddha statue, Gandhara Art, war of freedom, Dadahabhai Naoraj, Gokhale, Chandra Pal, and a few famous leaders and places. Maps of Pakistan are also pasted in the monument.

 

Personal rooms of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal, reference library, and conference hall are also present. Pakistan Monument takes you in the past. Pakistan monument represents the culture and civilization of Pakistan.

PNCA (Pakistan National Council of Arts)

 

PNCA is the national art gallery of Pakistan. PNCA has many main divisions Visual Arts Division, National Puppet Theatre, Children Art workshop, and Performing Arts Division. Many cultural festivals, events, art shows are organized at PNCA.

 

Different dramatic, theatre plays in which local and international artists perform are also held at PNCA. In PNCA, there are an auditorium, open theatre, and lecture hall.

 

The building of PNCA is made of brown bricks and it looks so fascinating. 

 


Lake View Park

 

Lake View Park is the main attraction for families and kids. Families spend quality time here. Visitors enjoy boating, Bar B.Q, rock climbing, car dodging and fishing in Lake View Park. In park Bar B.Q grills are installed at different places.

 

Bird Aviary Park is located in Lake View Park which is the third largest aviary in the world. Many tuck shops are located in the park where you can enjoy tea and snacks.
